The Perform Group has an exciting opportunity for a Head Office Accountant to join the Group’s finance team based in our global headquarters in Middlesex.  The Group has expanded significantly in recent years through a combination of strong organic growth of its core business and a series of acquisitions and joint ventures across multiple jurisdictions.  The Group’s rapid growth is set to continue with primary focus on international development. Following the Groups’ rapid expansion it is looking for an Head Office Accountant to work alongside the Group Finance Manager to investigate and correct outstanding variances within intercompany balances across the Group and to design and implement an improved intercompany process.

For the right person this will represent a significant but hugely exciting challenge in the context of a young, entrepreneurial but extremely well-run and fast-growing business. 


Reporting to Group Finance Manager


Perform is a global leader in digital sports media.  It operates a global and rapidly expanding business comprising a range of brands, products and services distributed to both businesses and consumers.  At their core, Perform’s products and services involve the production, distribution and monetisation of all forms of digital sports content including:

  • Several video and data products used by the betting industry globally
  • Numerous direct to consumer brands and portals including goal.com, the world’s largest football site, and several local consumer brands and portals in the sports space around the world
  • Global digital sports news services
  • Partnerships with over 200 rights holders and sports organisations around the world including most of the world’s major sporting bodies

 Each of Perform’s products involves the deployment of a bespoke mix of digital rights, technology and innovative approaches to commercialization of content and brands.


The role will involve taking primary responsibility for the day to day management and reconciliation of the Group’s daily intercompany transactions, helping to implement an improved intercompany process which will heighten the control environment in that space. The role will require an in-depth commercial understanding of the business and its reporting structure and will be asked to liaise directly with the Group’s numerous overseas accountants to document current and historic intercompany transactions, insuring reconciliation across the Group. 

The role would have responsibility for:

  • Design and implement a new set of processes for intercompany transactions and balances
  • Taking day-day responsibility for the reconciliation of current intercompany transactions
  • Working with numerous overseas accountants to isolate and correct variances in historic intercompany transactions
  • Liaising with various elements of the business to develop a comprehensive understanding of the commercial aspects of the Group’s intercompany transactions in order to be able to spot potential errors and propose solutions
  • Review of historic transactions and brought forward intercompany ledger breakdowns to allow comparison across the Group to highlight potential discrepancies
  • Weekly progress reports directly into the Group Finance Manager and Head of Financial Reporting, with visibility of work all the way up to the CFO. 

The ideal candidate will be part ACA qualified (or equivalent) and will have:

  • ACA qualified or equivalent
  • Experience of intercompany accounting
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills
  • Good understanding and appreciation of need to manage internal controls relating to account processing
  • Numerate and analytical thinking
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Presentation of complex financial relationships succinctly and with clarity
  • The desire and ability to innovate and to tackle challenges positively and creatively
  • A highly flexible and unflappable approach to handling a large workload in an environment with rapidly shifting priorities and unpredictable demands
  • A dynamic but measured personality with excellent presentational and influencing skills
  • A very high level of personal drive and motivation and the ability to progress matters with a significant degree of independence
  • A genuine curiosity about the Group’s business and its intercompany relationships 


The Head Office Accountant  will be based in Perform’s headquarters in Feltham, UK.
